Tuntutan Kenaikan Upah, Buruh Bekasi Terus Berunjuk Rasa
Spsibekasi.org – 23 November 2023, Puluhan ribu buruh/pekerja yang tergabung dalam Aliansi Buruh Bekasi Melawan (BBM) menggelar demonstrasi massal dengan melakukan konvoi dan menutup akses vital di kawasan industri di wilayah Bekasi.
BBM adalah gabungan dari serikat pekerja dan serikat buruh di Kabupaten dan Kota Bekasi, mengambil aksi sebagai respons terhadap penerapan PP No. 51 tahun 2023 oleh pemerintah daerah.
Aksi ini dipicu oleh ketidakpuasan buruh terhadap penetapan upah minimum Kabupaten dan Kota Bekasi, yang hanya naik 1-3%, jauh dari tuntutan buruh yang meminta kenaikan 15-16%. Sekitar 10.000 orang dari berbagai daerah di Bekasi berpartisipasi dalam demonstrasi ini, masa aksi bersikeras tidak menghentikan aksi mereka hingga mendapatkan rekomendasi kenaikan upah dari Pj. Bupati Bekasi.
Masa aksi memulai demonstrasinya sejak pukul 06.00 WIB, menyasar berbagai lokasi strategis dari Kota Bekasi hingga jalur Pantura di Kabupaten Bekasi. Selain menutup jalan raya, mereka juga menghentikan akses vital di beberapa kawasan industri.
Aksi unjuk rasa ini tidak berjalan mulus, terjadi kericuhan di beberapa lokasi, termasuk di akses MM2100. Kepolisian memaksa membuka jalur, namun setelah negosiasi, para buruh berhasil menutup kembali akses tersebut.
Sementara itu pada saat yang bersamaan Dewan Pengupahan Kabupaten dan Kota Bekasi melakukan rapat membahas penetapan UMK tahun 2024 pada Dinas Ketenagakerjaan masing-masing wilayah sebagai respons terhadap tuntutan buruh.
Saat berita ini diturunkan, aksi unjuk rasa buruh masih berlanjut, menunggu rekomendasi kenaikan upah dari Pj. Bupati Bekasi untuk diterbitkan sebagai surat keputusan dari Pj. Gubernur Jawa Barat.
